So excited to finally share this limited release of hybrid American Chestnuts! These hybrid trees have beautiful form and foliage and produce sweet nuts that can be roasted, turned into flour for baking, and provide abundant healthy forage for local wildlife. Unlike other nut trees they produce heavily every year once they reach maturity! Their nutritional value is comparable to brown rice.
Where to plant:
You’ll need two trees that get at least 6 hours of sun, within a hundred feet of each other for good growth and pollination.
